Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 provides that no person shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal funds. Title VI requires recipients of Federal funds to provide information to the public regarding the recipient’s obligations under DOT’s Title VI regulations and apprise members of the public of the protections against discrimination afforded to them by Title VI. 2026 Title VI Plan Update – Release for Public Comment
The CSPDC has released a Draft Title VI Plan for a 14-day public comment period, open through April 15, 2026.
The Title VI Plan describes how the CSPDC, SAWMPO, and HRMPO ensure nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, and national origin in their planning processes, public participation activities, consultant contracting, and distribution of federal funds, in compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
